Loliondo Game Controlled Area

Loliondo Game Controlled Area
Loliondo Game Controlled Area – the Serengeti eco-system is much larger that the Serengeti National Park itself, as it includes the game-controlled areas bordering the National Park. Bordering Serengeti to the east is the large Loliondo Game Controlled Area. The area is known for its Maasai culture, its spectacular natural beauty and for its variety of animals. The Loliondo land offers unique freedom of movement to undertake adventurous activities such as night drives and walking safaris.
Lake Masek

Lake Masek
Lake Masek (Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Serengeti National Park) – this lake is located on the western edge of the Conservation Area. The conservation area is a multi-use zone where the animals are protected from poaching but additional human uses such as livestock grazing are allowed. One of the advantages for the conservation area over the national parks is that off road travel is permitted outside of the crater area, which allows one to get up close to the animals.
Hot Air Balloon Safari

Hot Air Balloon Safari
Hot Air Balloon Safari (And Beyond Tour Group)– experience the breathtaking beauty of the Serengeti National Park on a once-in-a-lifetime hot air balloon flight. At dawn, rise as the sun greets the day and float in whichever direction the winds of the morning take you. Your pilot can precisely control the altitude of your balloon: sometimes flying at treetop height, sometimes lower, offering a unique perspective and great photographic opportunities of the wildlife below. At other times you will probably ascend to 1000′ or more to see the vast magnificence and spectacular panorama of the Serengeti. At intervals the pilot will put more heat into the balloon with the powerful whisper burners. In between these burns, there is a tranquil silence apart from the natural sounds below.
A Serengeti balloon safari is an extraordinary opportunity to relish a bird’s eye-view of the phenomenal sweeping plains below. Tiny little dots rove across the diverse landscape and as you get closer you are spectator to the most magnificent view of dramatically striped black and white zebra, sashaying enormous grey elephants meandering to a waterhole, wiry warthogs foraging in the grassy scrub and subtle swishes of puffed golden tails reveal lions lolling under shady trees.

Grumeti Game Reserve

Grumeti Game Reserve
Grumeti Game Reserve — created by the Tanzanian Government in 1994 to protect the path of the great wildebeest migration and wildlife indigenous to the area, Grumeti Game Reserve has fast become a vitally important part of the Serengeti-Mara Ecosystem. Local communities, conservationists and safari operators work together to ensure the long term survival of the species that make the area their home, and the reserve as a whole, for the benefit of Tanzania, Africa and the world. Numerous exclusive luxury eco-minded lodges have been developed on the reserve to generate low-impact tourism, employment and the funds necessary to keep this vitally important wildlife destination protected.
Aside from the iconic Grumeti Serengeti open-sided game vehicles, this is the perfect setting for a balloon ride over the plains, teeming with wildlife and winding river with countless crocodiles and hippos. Grumeti is also perfectly positioned for a trip to Lake Victoria, where you can take a canoe trip or fishing expedition. Take in the local culture with a visit to a traditional medicine man, or dance with school children in the local villages.
